Each week the children are introduced to a new practical life activity. The aim of these activities are to give children control in their coordination and movements, and to gain independence and adaption within his environment. Activities such as walking on a line, sitting in a circle, listening, putting plates in the sink, are all activities which give a child discipline within society. These are continually practiced within their nursery setting.
This weeks activity is squeezing orange juice. The children are really enjoying this, and gain great satisfaction in being able to squeeze their own juice. It is also a very good exercise for motor development, coordination and also reinforces pouring skills.
