out walking

Getting out with the children for a walk, a visit to a local park, gives them the opportunity to explore and engage with the world outside of the classroom. Central to the Montessori Method is that the child is exposed to and interacts with activities that meaningfully engages their senses. Learning the rules of walking in beside the road, waiting for cars to pass, cooperating within a group activity, engages the child in an activity that is fun and requires group cooperation.
