Sensorial Work

On Sundays the children are introduced to new sensorial exercises. The main aim or purpose of sensorial work is to refine a child’s senses, thereby acquiring clear and conscious information and to be able to classify this within their environment. These exercises develop a child’s understanding of his environment and enriches his authentic integration into his environment.

Today the children where introduced to sound bottles. These bottles are designed to helps to refine a child’s auditory senses. The children are presented with two matching groups of bottles, varying in sound from soft to loud. The are shown how to be quite, to listen to the sounds and to match the sounds. Later, they learn how to grade the sounds from soft to loud.
