Over the past few months I have noticed a change in the children’s play. Previously they all joined together, indiscriminate of gender, however, more recently they have tended to naturally separate during the day. They do not exclude one another from play, and all are welcome to join in, but it seems like a natural tendency. In a boy dominated environment, 10 boys and 4 girls, it is very sweet to watch the girls gathering in the nursery, playing out their games. Occasionally one of the boys will join in, and eventually they wander outside and join in with the more physical play, but I do love to catch their tender moments :).
This week at the nursery we are celebrating National Book Week. Each day we are having a parent visit with us for a story telling. Today started with a beautiful story, Gan Gurim, read by Yafit, mother of Tomer. Thank you so much for sharing your time with us, the children enjoyed it so very much.
We look for to the rest of the week of story telling.
Today we celebrated Tevel’s 3rd Birthday! He such a gentle spirit and a child loved by all. We join his family in wishing him a very special birthday. We look so forward to spending the next year with him, watching him grow. His family treated us to a wonderful breakfast, and a very special puppet show, staring ‘Pluto’.
After too long a wait, we finally managed a visit to our neighbouring farm. This was such a great outing for all of us, and it was amazing to watch the children growing in confidence in their interaction with the animals. We plan to make this a more regular activity. Thank you to Maya for joining us on our walk, your help was very much appreciated, and company enjoyed.
